Why do we have an Annual Meeting?

A credit union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution owned by its members. When you opened your Share Savings Account you became a member-owner because your deposit represents a share of ownership. At the Annual Meeting, members elect a volunteer board that oversees the credit union. The volunteer board serves the membership and their decisions are based on what will benefit the credit union and its’ membership.

Elections:

Supervisory Committee Elections – due to a recent increase in the number of members participating on the Supervisory Committee the term of all current members of the committee will be staggered ranging from one year to three years. By this one-time staggering of the term of appointment approximately one-third of the Committee will stand for re-election at subsequent Annual Meetings.

Board of Director Elections – One seat on the Board of Directors has its term expiring. This seat is presently held by Director Richard Parker. Director Parker has indicated it is his desire to continue to serve as a director for an additional three-year term.

Any members having an interest in serving on the Board of Directors or the Supervisory (Audit) Committee are encouraged to contact CEO Joe Kelly who will provide information and attempt to answer questions concerning the duties and responsibilities of a member of the Board of Directors or the Supervisory Committee.
