Why do we have an Annual Meeting?
A credit union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution owned by its members. When you opened your Share Savings Account you became a member-owner because your deposit represents a share of ownership. At the Annual Meeting, members elect a volunteer board that oversees the credit union. The volunteer board serves the membership and their decisions are based on what will benefit the credit union and its’ membership.
Elections:
Supervisory Committee Elections – One seat on the Supervisory Committee is expiring. The seat is currently held by Lucille Wanee. Lucille has expressed a desire to continue to serve for an additional year. There is one seat vacant on the Supervisory Committee.
Board of Director Elections – Three seats on the Board of Directors have their term expiring. The seats are presently held by Chairperson Carl Waters, Secretary Sharon O'Quin and Treasurer Andrew Parkerson. Carl, Sharon and Andrew have indicated it is their desire to continue to serve an additional three-year term.
Any members having an interest in serving on the Board of Directors or the Supervisory (Audit) Committee are encouraged to contact CEO Joe Kelly who will provide information and attempt to answer questions concerning the duties and responsibilities of a member of the Board of Directors or the Supervisory Committee.
