ANNUAL MEETING

Thursday February 25, 2010 at 6pm

STAR Community Credit Union’s Annual Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 25 at 6:00 P.M.  The meeting will be held at the Credit Union Office at 550 Salem Street, Chico.  All members are invited and are welcome to attend.

Why do we have an Annual Meeting? 

A credit union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution owned by its members. When you opened your Share Savings Account you became a member-owner because your deposit represents a share of ownership. At the Annual Meeting, members elect a volunteer board that oversees the credit union. The volunteer board serves the membership and their decisions are based on what will benefit the credit union and its’ membership.

The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to meet those members who have volunteered to serve on your Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee. The election of directors and supervisory committee members is held at this meeting.

If you are interested in a volunteer position, we invite you to submit a request to Joe Kelly, President/ CEO or Carl Waters, Chairman of the Board.
