Why do we have an Annual Meeting?

A credit union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution owned by its members. When you opened your Share Savings Account you became a member-owner because your deposit represents a share of ownership. At the Annual Meeting, members elect a volunteer board that oversees the credit union. The volunteer board serves the membership and their decisions are based on what will benefit the credit union and its’ membership.

Elections:

Supervisory Committee Elections – Two seats on the Supervisory Committee is expiring.  The seats are currently held by Janet Earl and Pam Coleman. They have indicated their desire to continue to serve on the Supervisory Committee. There is one unfilled vacancy on the Supervisory Committee.  It will provide valuable experience for someone who is interested in learning more about the CU.

Board of Director Elections – One seat on the Board of Directors has their term expiring. The seat is presently held by Richard Parkert. Richard has indicated it is their desire to continue to serve  an additional three-year term.

Any members having an interest in serving on the Board of Directors or the Supervisory (Audit) Committee are encouraged to contact CEO Joe Kelly who will provide information and attempt to answer questions concerning the duties and responsibilities of a member of the Board of Directors or the Supervisory Committee.
