Why do we have an Annual Meeting?

A credit union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution owned by its members. When you opened your Share Savings Account you became a member-owner because your deposit represents a share of ownership. At the Annual Meeting, members elect a volunteer board that oversees the credit union. The volunteer board serves the membership and their decisions are based on what will benefit the credit union and its’ membership.

Supervisory Committee Elections – One seat on the Supervisory Committee is expiring.  The seat is currently held by Lucille Wanee. She has indicated her desire to continue to serve on the Supervisory Committee. There is one unfilled vacancy on the Supervisory Committee.  It will provide valuable experience for someone who is interested in learning more about the CU.

Board of Director Elections – There are three seats on the Board of Directors whose terms are expiring. The seats are presently held by Sharon O'Quin, Andrew Parkeson and Carl Waters. They have indicated it is their desire to continue to serve  an additional three-year term.

Any members having an interest in serving on the Board of Directors or the Supervisory (Audit) Committee are encouraged to contact CEO Joe Kelly who will provide information and attempt to answer questions concerning the duties and responsibilities of a member of the Board of Directors or the Supervisory Committee.
