Chico Community Scholarship Association
STAR Community Credit Union supports the Chico Community Scholarship Association with an annual donation. The mission of the Chico Community Scholarship Association is to provide scholarship assistance by facilitating the establishment and awarding of scholarships to deserving graduating seniors of the Chico Unified School District who intend to pursue further studies at an accredited institution.
Butte Academy Law Enforcement Scholarship
STAR Community Credit Union has long been a supporter of the Butte College Law Enforcement Academy awarding scholarships to students attending this program. The Credit Union also has made donations to improve the facilities and services of the Academy.
CNYIB 2010 School of the Year Award
The CNYIN will grant two $500 awards to Schools that are doing fantastic work in the area of Youth Financial Literacy. CNYIN Member Credit Unions can nominate a school they believe is worthy of the award. The entries for year 2009 were fantastic and the CNYIN Board was very impressed with the creative and diligent work being accomplished in the schools. School of the Year Nomination Form
