Tax Season is fast approaching. It's time to get prepared.

Use our tips, resources and special offers below to prepare yourself for the April 17, 2012 deadline.

Tips to get you started

  1. Keep an eye out for W-2s, 1099s, and other tax documents in the mail.
  2. Start gathering tax donation receipts and other financial documents to support proof of income and tax deductions.
  3. Check your eligibility for Free File and free face-to-face help at an IRS office or volunteer site. Visit IRS.gov.
  4. Consider opting to have your refund transferred to your Checking, Savings or Money Market Savings Account.
  5. Get the latest in tax season updates at IRS.gov.

STAR will include your 2011, 1099-INT form as the last page of your December Statement. Can't find it? Log onto online banking and reprint it.

Direct deposit your refund

Direct deposit is fast, safe, and convenient. You can request a direct deposit refund on your tax return whether you e-file or file a paper return. Please be sure to fill in the routing and account numbers carefully and double-check the numbers for accuracy to avoid it being rejected.
