Q. What are eStatements?
A. eStatements are an electronic notification (email) that your statements are ready to view in online banking, whick will take the place of your mailed paper statement.
Q. How much does STAR eStatement service cost?
A. There is no charge for STAR eStatement service.
Q. How do I sign up for eStatements?
A. To sign up for eStatements, simply login to your STAR online account and click on the User Profile icon at the top and then click Sign up for eStatements. This will take you to a screen where you will need to enter and confirm the email address you wish to receive your notification. Next check the statements box and read and agree to the disclosure then click save. You will be able to access your online statement immediately.
Q. How do I receive (access) my eStatements?
A. To access your eStatement, you login to your STAR online account and click on the Services icon then View Statements at the top menu bar. You will see a list of all available statements.
Q. Is my statement going to be sent to my email?
A. No, the only thing sent to your email address is a notification making you aware that your statement is ready through your online banking.
Q. Why did I have to give my email address to sign up?
A. The email address is needed to send an email notification that your statement is available on your STAR online account.
Q. Will my eStatement be on my online banking if for some reason I don’t receive my email notification?
A. Yes, your eStatement and email notification is independent of one another. If you do not receive your email notification, your eStatement will still be on your online banking.
Q. What do I need to view my e-statement online.
A. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view you eStatement.
Q. What if I don’t have Adobe Acrobat Reader?
A. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free software that you can download. There is a link to the right of the statement page on your online banking account.
Q. How do I print my eStatement?
A. By using the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar, press the printer icon. You can either print the entire statement or just a particular page.
Q. How do I save my eStatement?
A. Using Adobe Acrobat Reader under the file option you can save a copy of you statement. You will then be asked where on your computer you would like to save it.
Q. Can I receive a paper statement as well as an electronic statement?
A. No, you can either receive a paper statement or an electronic statement. You can not receive both.
Q. When will my eStatement be available?
A. Your eStatement will be available during the first week of the statement cycle.
Q. Can I get my eStatement emailed to me instead?
A. No, your eStatement can not be emailed to you. Email is not a secure way to send your statement.
Q. What if I want to cancel my eStatement?
A. You have the right to terminate your eStatement access and receive paper statements at any time upon delivery of written notice to STAR Community Credit Union. If you wish to cancel eStatements and resume receipt of paper statements, you must notify us by calling (530)895-1947. If you cancel receipt of eStatements and wish to resume receiving eStatements in the future, it will be necessary for you to go through the sign up process again.
Q. Can I have my eStatement email notification sent to more than one email address?
A. Yes, a notification will be sent to any and all valid email address we have set up for your account and have agreed for the service online.
Q. How do I notify the credit union of my new email address?
A. Log in your online account click on the Preferences icon then Manage e-mails, then click add to enter in your new email address. Once you have added the new e-mail address delete the old one by clicking the red x to the left and clicking cancel. Remember to check the boxes of the services you wish to have with the new e-mail address.
Q. Will I be able to get my credit card statements via eStatements?
A. Yes, monthly credit card statements are available through eStatements.
